The minimum age for piercings varies by procedure. Ear piercings are available for clients ages 5 and older. All other piercings require the client to be at least 15 years of age. A valid photo ID and birth certificate are required, and a parent or legal guardian with valid identification must be present and remain on-site throughout the entire piercing process.
The minimum age required by the state of Tennessee to receive a tattoo is 18 years old. A valid photo ID is required.
We accept all major credit and debit cards, as well as cash, Cash App, and Venmo.
A deposit is required to book an appointment with any of our artists. For piercings, the deposit is 50% of the total piercing price. For tattoos, a minimum deposit of $100 is required to secure the appointment.
To secure an appointment, a non-refundable deposit of $100 is required. This amount will be applied toward the total cost of your tattoo on the day of your appointment. Cash deposits are preferred but not required. Deposits may be made via Venmo, Cash App, in person with cash, or by providing card details over the phone.
One reschedule is permitted per appointment, provided we receive at least 48 hours’ notice. If less than 48 hours’ notice is given, the deposit will be forfeited, and a new deposit will be required to book a new appointment.
Our standard piercing jewelry is surgical-grade stainless steel at no additional charge. We also offer a titanium jewelry upgrade for $20 per piece.
We offer premium purified saltwater spray solution for all piercings. Multiple sizes are available, ranging from $10 to $15 per bottle.
We welcome clients to bring a friend or loved one into the facility. However, due to limited space and to ensure our artists can work comfortably, we ask that no more than two people be allowed in the tattoo room at any given time. Children are permitted in the facility provided they remain supervised at all times and are accompanied by an additional adult other than the client to care for them.

In Loving Memory of Matt “FLIP” Bartlett
Mathew “Flip” Bartlett (1978–2025) was a beloved tattoo artist and business owner from Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. He was the proud owner of Flippin Ink Tattoos and Body Piercing, where he served the community with skill, passion, and generosity for over 20 years. Tattooing in the area since 2004, Matt left a lasting impact on everyone he met through his talent, kindness, and dedication.
Matt and his wife, Crystal, were one of the most genuine and beloved couples in Lawrenceburg. Known for their matching outfits, unforgettable parties, and larger-than-life presence, they showed everyone what true love and friendship looked like. Family was at the center of everything Matt did. He adored his children and grandchildren, and his love and care for them were evident to all who knew him.

Flippin Ink was more than a business to Matt. It was his passion, his creative outlet, and a place where he could bring people together. He poured his heart into the shop, mentoring other artists, welcoming clients like friends, and building a community around his craft. Beyond tattooing, Matt was a significant supporter of the regional MMA community, always encouraging fighters and fans alike. His influence extended far beyond the studio walls, touching countless lives across Lawrence County and beyond.
Matt’s legacy lives on in the art he created, the people he inspired, the family he cherished, and the community he helped shape. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit, generosity, and the mark he left on Flippin Ink, Lawrence County, and the regional MMA scene will always remain.
